Returns & Refund Policy
This Refund Policy applies to all purchases of hardware devices and consumables made through the Workplace Tech website, operated by Apogee Corporation Limited trading as Workplace Tech. This policy applies exclusively to business-to-business transactions. By placing an order through the Website, you confirm that you are purchasing wholly or mainly on behalf of a business entity and agree to the terms of this policy.
1. Eligibility for a Remedy
A device or consumable will be eligible for a remedy under this policy only in the following circumstances:
- (a) Dead on Arrival (DOA): The device or consumable is non-functional or unusable upon delivery and the fault is reported to us in writing within five (5) Business Days of receipt.
- (b) Significant Misdescription: The device or consumable delivered materially differs from the specification described on the Website at the time of order.
- (c) Transit Damage: The device or consumable sustains damage in transit that renders it non-functional or unusable, provided the damage is reported to us in writing within five (5) Business Days of receipt.
All requests must be submitted to sales@workplace-tech.com with photographic or written evidence of the issue. Where a request is valid, Apogee will provide a remedy in accordance with section 4 of this policy and clause 6 of the Terms of Purchase, namely repair, replacement or refund at Apogee's discretion. Meeting the criteria in this section 1 does not, of itself, entitle the purchaser to a refund in preference to repair or replacement.
2. Non-Refundable Circumstances
The following circumstances do not give rise to a right of refund:
- (a) Change of mind or circumstances after delivery;
- (b) Faults or damage arising after delivery due to misuse, improper installation, or unauthorised modification of any device or consumable;
- (c) Minor cosmetic imperfections consistent with the refurbished nature of the device, where such condition was disclosed on the Website or in the product listing;
- (d) Incompatibility with the purchaser's existing systems or infrastructure where compatibility was not expressly warranted by Apogee in writing;
- (e) Consumables that have been opened, used, or partially consumed after delivery, unless the relevant product is also subject to a valid DOA, misdescription, or transit damage claim under section 1.
Where devices are sold as refurbished goods, purchasers acknowledge and accept that devices may exhibit signs of prior use and that this does not, in itself, constitute grounds for a refund. Purchasers are responsible for ensuring that any consumables ordered are compatible with their equipment prior to purchase, except where compatibility is expressly warranted by Apogee in writing.
3. Refund Process
Upon receipt of a valid refund request, Apogee will:
- (a) acknowledge the request within two (2) Business Days;
- (b) assess the claim and notify the purchaser of its determination within ten (10) business days; and
- (c) where a refund is approved, process the refund to the original payment method within fourteen (14) Business Days of approval.
Apogee reserves the right to require the return of the device or consumable prior to processing any refund. Return shipping costs for approved refund claims will be met by Apogee. Where a refund request is not approved, return shipping costs shall be borne by the purchaser. Where a refund is approved, any original delivery fees paid by the purchaser in respect of the relevant order will be refunded in full. Where a refund request is not approved, original delivery fees are non-refundable.
4. Warranty and Limitation of Liability
All devices sold through the Website are provided with a limited warranty as specified in the applicable product listing. Further details regarding warranty terms and conditions are set out in Apogee's Terms and Conditions, available on the Website. Consumables are warranted only to be free from defects in materials and workmanship at the time of delivery. No further warranty is given in respect of consumables.
To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, Apogee's liability in respect of any defective device shall be limited to either repair, replacement, or a refund of the purchase price, at Apogee's sole discretion. Apogee shall not be liable for any indirect, consequential, or economic loss arising from the use of, or inability to use, any device purchased through the Website.
5. Governing Law
This policy is governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes arising in connection with this policy shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales. Apogee Corporation Limited reserves the right to amend this policy at any time. The version published on the Website at the time of your order shall apply to your purchase.
